For over a century, the Urban League of Greater Philadelphia has been dedicated to empowering Black and Brown communities in the Greater Philadelphia region. As an affiliate of the National Urban League, we are part of a historic movement that advocates for the economic and social well-being of underserved urban communities.
Programs & Resources
Youth &
Education
We believe that education is the key to success. Our Youth & Education programs provide academic and college prep as well as scholarship ooportunities to young people in Philadelphia. We offer tutoring services, college readiness workshops, and career development opportunities to help our youth reach their full potential.
Entrepreneurship
Center
At Urban League of Philadelphia, we believe in the power of entrepreneurship to create economic opportunity. Our Entrepreneurship program provides training, mentorship, and access to capital to help entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses.
Workforce
Development
Urban League of Philadelphia's Workforce Development program helps Philadelphia residents gain the skills they need to succeed in the job market. We offer job training, resume workshops, job placement and career services to help our clients find employment and achieve economic self-reliance.
Housing
& Diversion Services
Our Housing Counseling program helps Philadelphia residents achieve their goal of homeownership. Our housing counselors provide free advice and support to help individuals navigate the homebuying process. We also offer foreclosure prevention services to help families keep their homes.
Health &
Wellness
The Urban League is on a mission to achieve equity in health and wellness. Our programs address disparities, promote healthy living, and ensure access to vital resources.
Advocacy &
Legislative Affairs
We advocate for human and civil rights that advances our work in racial and social justice; creating systemic change for economic inclusion, employment, and education; and strengthening and supporting youth, health, and homeownership.
ReEntry
Services
Our ReEntry Services play a vital role in breaking the cycle of recidivism and empowering individuals to build brighter futures. However, we cannot do this important work alone.
