Philadelphia Guild Member Sandy Moon-Hightower receives prestigious Mollie Moon Award

October 15, 2021

We are extremely proud to announce that our Urban League Guild of Philadelphia member Sandy Moon-Hightower was selected as the recipient of the prestigious Mollie Moon Volunteer Service Award from the National Urban League.  This prestigious award is named after the legendary Mollie Moon, who organized the National Urban League Guild in 1942 and later helped to establish the Council of Urban League Guilds in 1952. She served with distinction as President of the National Urban League Guild for almost fifty years. This award celebrates the spirit of volunteerism that has permeated the Urban League Movement throughout its long history and has become an exciting programmatic enhancement to the conference.

Sandy has been a consistent and dedicated Guild member, serving in various leadership roles for our Guild chapter.  We thank her for her service.
