Urban League of Philadelphia hosts 2021 Virtual Empowerment Dinner

Join us for the 2021 Virtual Empowerment Dinner and Community Scholarship Program as we celebrate 104 years of the Urban League of Philadelphia partnering with local businesses and individuals to carry out vital work that is empowering communities and changing lives throughout the Greater Philadelphia region.  Register HERE!
A highlight of the event will be the presentation of the 2021 Community Scholarship recipients. We will also celebrate our 2021 Award Honorees:
Power of One Award: Romona Riscoe Benson, Director, PECO Corporate and Community Relations
The Power of the Black Church Award:
Rev. Marshall Mitchell – Senior Pastor, Salem Baptist Church of Abington
Rev. Mark Tyler – Senior Pastor, Mother Bethel AME Church
Rev. Alyn E. Waller – Senior Pastor, Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church
The Community Service Award: Nicholas Bertram, President & CEO, The GIANT Company
The Empowerment Dinner is a major fundraising event for the Urban League of Philadelphia. This annual event honors community champions who have made a commitment to the development of diversity, inclusion, and philanthropy.
Their efforts have made a positive impact and helped create new opportunities for underserved and underemployed individuals. We welcome the community to join us from the comfort of your home on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 5:00 p.m.
