This year, the Urban League of Philadelphia is launching #CultureStoriesULP, a campaign dedicated to uplifting Black history and culture through storytelling, history, and shared experiences.
The Power of Storytelling: For generations, storytelling has been a vital part of Black culture. From the griots of West Africa to the voices of civil rights leaders, stories have preserved history, inspired movements, and connected communities. Culture Stories aims to continue this legacy by amplifying the voices of Philadelphians who are shaping Black culture today.
What to Expect in This Month’s Celebration:
Cultural Spotlights: Exploring music, art, and traditions that have influenced generations.
Community Voices: Highlighting Black entrepreneurs, activists, and educators making a difference.
Black History in Motion: Visiting historical landmarks, museums, and cultural hubs.
Live Events & Engagement: Attending panels, networking mixers, and interactive experiences across Philadelphia.
