Greetings and congratulations on successfully completing The Urban League of Philadelphia’s Leadership Forum!

During the last six months, you have devoted your time and energy to learning how to become a more effective leader in your workplace and within your community. You have built relationships with your fellow Forum teammates and have created a new network that is connected to the Urban League movement. As members of the historic Silver Anniversary Class, you join a distinguished list of Urban Leadership Forum alumni, including Mayor Michael Nutter and Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown, who continue to demonstrate the value of this program by their professional success, personal growth and community engagement.

We hope that you will remain connected with The Urban League of Philadelphia.  As we move forward, the ULP needs talented leaders to help us with the many programs that bring financial independence to the African American community. Our Career Center, Entrepreneurship Center, Housing Counseling and Youth Programs offer avenues for engagement.

In just a few weeks, we will be hosting the National Urban League Conference. This will be a landmark event for The Urban League of Philadelphia and an opportunity for you to deepen your relationship with us. The conference will bring 8,000 Urban Leaguers to our City for a week of education, social action and networking. The conference will feature a marketplace for small businesses, a job fair and a Youth Leadership Summit. This will be an excellent opportunity for you to engage with the Urban League, and I hope you will participate as a delegate, an exhibitor or a volunteer.
